"Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had 4 hours of arguing over check in. Wouldn’t recognize my reservation and made me pay double for a different room. Every time I we agreed on a term they would throw something different at me. It was the last room in town for the Easter holiday. "I had the misfortune to arrive by bus from Managua on a rainy day. I thus had difficulty in finding the Hostal. When I did, at aout 7 pm, the person at the reception did not even ask to identify me, and I was led to a room with a window giving on the corridor, a small old sink giving only a tiny fillet or water, etc. Only cold water, but that seems to be general in San Juan. I eventually got used to all these "perks"..."

"It’s a small room, no rack to put luggages; requested chairs was privided. Bed was comfortable. Room had balcony; was raining most of the time so wasn’t able to enjoy it. Some loud noises in the area on some nights. Close to the beach and restaurants, convenient. Breakfast choices can be modified. Tiresome to be eating the same especially when you’re there over 2 days. Staff were nice and helpful. "
