"Staff were so helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble and they really tried to make things as easy as possible. Being at the older end we didn't enjoy the Halloween disco in the bar but it was possible to find a quieter space and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Drinks were quite expensive but the food was reasonably priced. The breakfast choice and quality was outstanding."

"Very warm welcome, both for us humans and especially the dog (complimentary bed/treats and dog bowl for her use during the stay). Dog welcomed throughout the hotel including main restaurant. Meal at dinner was excellent as was breakfast. Warm, spotlessly clean room, well appointed, close to the bar/restaurant and had a convenient small garden space for the dog's convenience. We'll be coming back. "

"Excellent hotel in quiet residential area on the very outskirts of Lowestoft . Room very comfortable and clean. Service good. Restaurant was busy and full . Plenty of parking. Would use again when in area. Recommended. "

"Check in was quick and easy and the receptionist answered all of our questions. We discovered that we had been upgraded to a suite which was lovely. It was very well appointed although there were some areas that needed attention (dirty curtains and black mold on the bathroom ceiling). However the towels and bed linen were all clean and we appreciated the sitting area and coffee machine. Dinner was a little disappointing as there were only 4 choices on the menu and one wasn’t available. There were also some burgers that could be ordered from the lounge menu but that isn’t really what you expect for dinner in a hotel of this calibre. However we did enjoy the food we ordered and prices were reasonable. Breakfast was very nice but more fresh fruit and some ‘proper’ bread would have been nice. I also prefer a cooked breakfast made to order with a variety of eggs available (and maybe some smoked salmon too!). The leisure club was small but nice enough for a short stay. We definitely left feeling more relaxed than when we arrived so our stay certainly fulfilled its purpose! "

"Absolutely perfect location right by the cathedral and a short walk to sites and restaurants all around Norwich. The Maids Head is a very classy, old school hotel that is clearly proud of its history and tradition."
