Set amid a scenic backdrop of mountains and forests is a collection of thermal pools and aquatic rides and attractions that make up the Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve. Visit this family-friendly oasis for therapeutic relaxation and fun.
Devote an entire day to exploring the many pools and rides that Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve has to offer. Find a quiet spot in one of the thermal rock pools which are linked by soft trickling rapids. De-stress in the mineral rich waters of the sulfur pools. Let the powerful jets of the adults only AquaTherapy pools give your muscles a good pummeling. Book one of the private indoor thermal pools.
For lunch or snacks visit the on-site café and grill which is housed in an old government tea kiosk building that first opened in 1904. Alternatively, bring a picnic with you.
There is also a lot going on at Hanmer for children. Take them on a gentle trip down the lazy river and then race each other in the large swimming pool. Also available for younger visitors is the Kids Area with its hydroslides, fountain, cave, waterfall and dumping bucket. Very young children have their own Aqua Play Area that encompasses a mini hydroslide and fountains.
Get your pulse racing on the Super Bowl. After traveling on an inflatable tube along a flume, centrifugal forces will keep you riding high on the wall of a large cavernous bowl.
