"The room, large and clean with comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was good, breakfast cooked to order and lots of choice. The location of the Hotel is great for Shaftesbury town, a 12 minute walk takes you to the centre. We really liked it. We didn’t use the pool but it looks nice, although it seemed to be constantly used by locals mainly. Overall very happy "

"Stayed in room no1 and although I knew the bed was on another level I had not realised it was on another floor. With corkscrew stairs to get there. Not ones to use if you were drunk. I would recommend leaving your case down stairs as there is a wardrobe there and awkward carrying a case up those stairs. Loved the room though. "

"Great location, right in the town centre. Good sized room and the bed was comfortable. Pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and good portion size. My only critique would be there is no mirror at the vanity desk and the one in the bathroom was not in the light. "
