"The property was ideal for a large extended family get together. Comfortable bedrooms and shared rooms, with nice private garden to relax in when sunny. It had all the facilities we needed and was clean throughout. Phillipa, the host, was always responsive on messages and gave us a lovely welcome gift of warm bread and cake. Stunning views out of every window and 2 large secure paddocks that you can let your 4 legged friend enjoy with no fear of them getting out. "We really enjoyed our stay in these combined cottages which have been refurbished to a high standard. The setting beside the river is lovely - saw kingfishers and herons. Beds v comfortable, bathrooms good. Worth mentioning that all bedrooms are up stairs, but our party, whch included 2 with walking difficulties managed fine. We are very likely to come back"

"Lovely place to stay, right next to some stunning walks, and some that are a short drive away. Would recommend taking slippers as the floor is tile downstairs and gets cold and slightly damp in evenings. The cottage itself is lovely and cosy when warmed up, extra blankets were also provided making it a bit cosier. "The house is a very old converted property so is naturally quirky but was comfortable,clean & had plenty of room for our family & 4 dogs. We especially enjoyed the cakes & essentials for teas & coffees left by our host. We also had a lovely meal in the adjoining Devonshire Arms pub."

"We had a great experience while staying here. We had booked the two cottages for my mum's surprise birthday and I have a large family. This was a great place to do this as there was a pool which entertained us all and enough space that you weren't in each other's space. It had beautiful views and a hiking tail right on the doorstep for anyone interested in a lovely walk. It wasn't far to get to local shops/bars/pubs. I would stay here again"

"The property was as described and was clean and comfortable and in a good location. Check in was easy. However this is the only property I have EVER stayed in that didnt provide any tea coffee milk etc. Even budget hotels do this. It made the place seem unwelcoming and meant we hsd nothing to drink on arrival after a long journey. The same applies to the minute amount of hand soap provided. Also, a bin bag would have been useful. Parking was ok but was on the street and at a distance...fine...
