"Exceptional hotel, going back in time with a Modern Twist & 5 star service. The warm welcome you get as soon as you walk through the entrance is very special. We had an afternoon tea, used the Spa facilities as well as a treatment. Special thanks to Alice who did my facial and massage and Tony from concierge who did a showed me around the hotel to help choose our room. "

"Wonderful greeting even though we were an hour early. Place is a quirky delight with lots of character and exceptionally welcoming. Louise was a charming host and nothing was too much try. Shower in our room had a fault but we were offered the use of another room and this was also spotless. Lovely breakfast. Views far reaching and quiet for a good night’s sleep. Highly recommended will definitely return. "

"One of the many good things about The View in Eastbourne is that it has a number of single rooms, and they represent particularly good value for money. Also, great sea views, friendly and helpful staff, nice food, good value, and very clean. My only negative experience is only a minor one. It's just a bit fiddly if you want breakfast in your room - you have to go to reception to get a little form to indicate your order, and then give it back to reception for them to take it from there. No such forms in the rooms, and no option to hook the form on your door for the night porter to collect the form and give it to the kitchen. Perhaps if you scan the code on the leaflet in the room it gets simpler, but I got a message on my phone saying it was out of date. Overall a great stay though, and the restaurant is very spacious if you want a quiet table for breakfast. "
