"I was really sceptical at first because when we arrived the pub was really noisy but we had been told the venue was lively. I went to use the toilet in the bar while waiting for the key to our room and none of the hot taps worked in the ladies. We also had to wait about 10 minutes to get a key from the busy bar staff.
However, the room was clean, the bed really comfortable and the bathroom was nice with lovely towels.
The hotel was in a good location for what we needed and a lovely receptionist...
"Great location just off high street and near the Rowley Mile racecourse
Limited parking , would help if customers could park straight
Nice welcome , room OK clean , comfortable bed and good shower . Everything you need , microwave , tea coffee etc
Bit expensive but everything is these days
Needs updating but enjoyed stay "
"Good location, pleasant bar and restaurant areas. Larger than normal twin rooms. Exceptionally good breakfast with large variety of options including kippers! Very pleasant staff."
"The food was amazing, especially the breakfast. Both mornings i had the Egg Royale, and it was the perfect way to start the morning. Would definitely go again in the future. "
"My wife and I stayed overnight to meet up with family and have a meal together. The room was lovely, clean, and welcoming.
Bathroom was modern and clean with good shower. The staff were very friendly and the service was great! We had a meal in the restaurant which was wonderful, the breakfast was equally as good!
All in all a great stay and I can see us revisiting. "
"We stayed for one night while on business
The building is a quirky old place and had been a school! The large rooms have been divided into a number of cosy well appointed rooms
Check in was self service and very well organised
Ordering breakfast was via a well designed form
Lisa and Phil are lovely and we met them at breakfast! Breakfast is one of the best I've ever had, all freshly cooked by Phil! Highly recommended "
"Second time i have used the Brambles, Bob is always polite and helpful, and the fresh breakfast tastes so much better than at a large chain hotel, rooms are very clean and tidy "
"Our 3rd stat as lovely but we had a different room and was quite small, quite tired in places and shower room awkward and small. Also noise from entryway door and stairs.
"
"It was a nice stay. I had a long term stay that was over 30 days. I had the double room, and i felt like it was cramped due to the ceilings. I had to constantly be stooping over or craining my neck in the room. I wouldn't rebook this room for a stay longer than a week. The owner was great and very nice."
"Stayed here many times and love it. Tried other places but this is by far the most convenient for visiting family in Bluntisham and friends in St Ives. Plenty of parking and rooms are well equipped and clean. "
"V good value. Friendly and welcoming. Basic room with 2 friendly mules outside.
The only slight negative was extremely bumpy 200 metres unsupported road to premises. No problem if careful but don't bring your Ferrari! Would definitely recommend for a stay. "
"One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in have they been in business for many many years and stayed all over the south counties this surely was one of the best highly recommended"

"We had a fantastic stay at The Wenns Chip & Ale House in King’s Lynn on Saturday. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and offered a comfortable night’s sleep. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with incredibly friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The location was ideal for exploring the town, and the pub itself had a great selection of drinks and a relaxed vibe. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in King’s Lynn. Would definitely return!"

"We had a great stay, me and my girlfriend loved the room and the property. Food is great, proper in the countryside and near everything would highly recommend. The staff were also very helpful and kind props to them!"
"Our stay was faultless the room and restaurant was immaculately clean the staff were super friendly and efficient and the ambience was chilled and relaxing. The included breakfast was unlimited with great variety on offer and like the evening meal we had the night before was really high standard ( also very good value)We would definitely recommend Ffolkes as a destination to either stay or just eat at .i think you would be hard pressed to find better at this price or even higher "
"Lovely hotel. Good room with comfy bed and functional bathroom. Great breakfast included, but evening meal was a bit too salty for us. Great gym and swimming pool. The Spa is really good so do book an afternoon treatment. "

"We would love to stay again, really enjoyed it. Room was comfortable, dinner & breakfast both relaxed and beautifully cooked. Dog freindly, so was great for us. The space is understandibly put aside mostly for diners with tables set up, but the bar area could really do with being larger and more comfy seating. Posh, obnoxious kids took over in the bar which was annoying, but that is not the establishments fault."
