"Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered. "

"We had a very comfortable stay. Our room was warm and looked newly decorated and very well equipped.. The bedding and bathroom were very clean and staff were lovely. "The location was pretty nice, being central to the Bury St. Edmunds town center. The location of the room was very difficult to find because the navigation apps we used put us far away from the actual room. We luckily found a mailman who took us to the right location. Other than that, the room was alright and comfortable enough. I’m not too sure it was entirely worth the cost, but it was alright. I’ll say 7/10."

"The Bushel staff were so friendly and helpful and allowed us a slightly earlier check-in to attend my daughter's wedding. The location of the hotel was perfect in the centre of Bury St Edmunds with the addition of free parking. The breakfast was good and the portions excellent. We had drinks at the bar & all the staff we dealt with were great. Thank you for providing a very comfortable stay in Bury St Edmunds."

"We stayed as a couple for one night as we were going to the very nearby Norwich arts centre for a gig. The hotel was both classy and cosy, everything was a nice size ( room, bed, bathroom etc), very clean and everything we needed. The building itself is grand, kooky and welcoming. The staff were just incredible and we enjoyed our chats with them....they were very knowledgeable including about the history of the hotel and what else was of interest in the local area. Breakfast was quality ( and we are food snobs as we used to live in France). Really couldn't fault anything. Next time, we'll be back with more time hopefully as we regretted not being able to try out the cocktails at the lovely bar!!"
