"This is a very unique property in that you check yourself in through a machine and locate your room by yourself. There is a communal dining area where you can prepare your own food. We had an issue with noise, being at the front of the hotel, and the manager who was present in the morning moved us and upgraded us to a remarkable room with a balcony! This is a beautiful property! "The view is spectacular!! Our kids thought the place was amazing and we also enjoyed it. Owner was very quick to answer any questions we had. It's a little tricky to get to; but that was likely due to us not being from Germany/the area/understanding how the roads work. Once we understood how to get to it, it was a breeze to come and go. Beds were comfy! Hot was was hot, which made for a good shower. There are a few cobwebs, but the spaces you touch were all fresh and clean. I would suggest a...

"A clean and roomy house, ideally set for what we needed. Nice walks in the area and shops are 5 minutes on foot. Stephen is a pleasant man, not intrusive or over bearing. He just made himself known to us. I will look to book again in the future."

"Bei Familie Maurer wurden wir sehr herzlich aufgenommen. Uns wurde alles gezeigt was wir benutzen durften . Sehr schön fanden wir das wir jeden Morgen extra für uns ausgewählte Brötchen erhalten haben und so ein tolles Frühstück für den Start hatten. Wir fühlten uns wie zuhause und uns fehlte nichts denn wir genossen die unendliche Ruhe die wir zuhause leider nicht haben. "We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is very convenient to the Christmas market and in a central location to get around the major sites. The room was very comfortable with a nice bathroom and walk in shower. There is a taxi stand not even 5 minutes away although we walked most everywhere. The hotel staff were very kind and welcoming which made our stay memorable. In particular, Sylvia at the reception desk went above and beyond to help us with last minute dinner reservations at the hotel. We had a wonderful dinner thanks to her! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again. "

"We came to Trier for the Christmas market and to visit the Roman sites. The hotel was ideally placed for both. There's no restaurant but the hotel buffet breakfast was excellent and catered well for a gluten intolerance. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking in the underground carpark was fine if a little tight to navigate in a bigger car. The staff were excellent and helpful. They spoke perfect English but humoured our schoolboy German! All round good."
