"This Hotel is a little gem. Only stayed one night, made to feel welcome all the time I was there. Room excellent clean and tidy, food excellent, facilities pool etc excellent, grounds very well kept. At checkout my 6 year old asked if we could stay, if you want an honest answer ask a 6 year old. Will definitely book here again."

"I tried 3 different emails & on hold for 15 minutes to try to book parking before arriving and did not get a response. I phoned again on the morning we were due to arrive & was finally able to book parking. It is valet parking as the hotel is in the city centre, £48 a night but we thought the best option. The hotel itself was beautiful. Our room was well equipped with tea, coffee machine, air-con & fridge. I requested a room with bath which was honoured. The bed was a good size although it felt a little like a water bed if the other person moved! Pillows were big & comfortable. Lovely decor. We had drinks in the Morse Bar & were served by a lovely gentleman in a suit whose name we didn’t get but he was great. There is limited seating in the bar but there is another bar in the restaurant with bar stools at the bar. I had a massage in the spa which was much appreciated and well done. We were greeted warmly by all staff that we encountered. Apart from the email/parking issue we would recommend. "

"Nice, pleasant property. Friendly staff. Clean rooms, decent shower. Free access to pool, sauna and steam room. Plenty of parking on site (free). Food of decent standard but expensive. Not suitable for long walks. Tennis courts. Recommended. Was great value for money. "

"We have stayed at DoubleTree many times. Reception staff are always welcoming. Evgenia is always friendly and helpful. She has checked us in on our last three visits. As a side note, we have witnessed a guest being quite rude to her and she communicated with them in such a professional manner. We sometimes request a room up-grade and the hotel has always been able to accommodate, even if it is for a specific room, so thank you House-keeping staff. The hotel is clean and the rooms are always spotless. The food in the Red Dot bar has always been served in good time and is always hot. We dined in the Pitchside bar/restaurant on our last visit. The kitchen had an issue with the gas supply. We were kept informed regarding our food order (delay) and received extra portions when the food arrived - result! We’re staying again this weekend - hope the kitchen has the same issue, ha ha ha. Would highly recommend this hotel to friends. I almost forgot... great warm cookies! Just one negative point - guests are charged for parking. Most hotels request that you register your vehicle but are not charged. "

"The hotel was absolutely amazing we were greeted by very friendly staff the room was very clean the bed was sooo comfortable and big so we had a lovely sleep room is spacious and modern the shower was great lovely rainfall shower the hotel is opposite Campbell park it’s soo beautiful we took a walk and the views are amazing the hotel is situated next to a shopping mall which is great across the road there is restaurants and the theatre soo much around to do we plan to try the restaurant next time we visit "
