"My husband and I have both travelled a fair bit, and Sherwood residence was by far above and beyond our expectations! ALL the staff were polite and professional, making us feel honored and cared for. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our suite was modern,spacious, and very comfortable. We LOVED all the amenities, and even spent our last day relaxing and enjoying the pool,sauna,and gym. If we are ever back in Vietnam, we will be sure to add a few nights in HCM just to stay here again."

For some reason, the plastic nut inside the tank on the toilet flush handle was so loose that the toilet wouldn't flush. Being a home owner, I raised the lid on the toilet tank and finger tightened the nut. Works great. Breakfast was fantastic."

"Au Lac Charner hotel is a gem of a find right in the heart of bustling Saigon. This French colonial hotel has beautiful decor and has maintained its traditional feel. It is elegant with its understated colours and is bright. There is some quirkiness too. Our room has a Jaccuzzi-style bath in the bedroom and the shower is on the open-air balcony. Happily there are blinds to block prying eyes or 'the missus' would have had kittens. The hotel is clean and we loved that they offered free...
