Great place for a quick stay
Description matched our expectations. Night was a little on the cold side, turned heater up and started to feel more comfortable. We had a quick stay, went to see the manatees before going on our family vacation.

Not what I was expecting, but all in all… everything at the hippy hut was a very relaxing stay. Whole lot of things to do in the area to keep you busy or just enjoy the outdoors by the grill and fireplace. Alyssa is an amazing host… very informational and ready to answer any questions you may have during your stay.

Did not stay. Room was cold enough to hang meat and neither of the tiny heaters I tried worked. Husband promised a refund, and the host (wife) confirmed. I am waiting on the refund. I can’t comment on anything else, since we didn’t stay.

Great experience!
My wife and I stayed there when we had an excursion to swim with manatees. It was super cute and perfext for two people! So much attention to every little detail in a small space! About 15 minutes away from pretty much anything you want to do in Homosassa or Crystal River. Super cute private outdoor slace as well!

We really enjoyed our short stay. It was surprisingly cool inside the hut which was my concern. The bathroom was a little small but my husband and I are both 6' 1" and 5' 11" ... I think it would be cool if there was an outdoor shower (covered of course!) Very cute place and was perfect for our short river trip.

We really enjoyed our getaway at the Hippie Hut. We knew it would be tiny but our host thought of special and unique ways to make the space look big and function for what is needed. The decor was fabulous and if it wasn't so hot outside, we would've spent the entire evening in the cozy backyard area.

We had a amazing time staying here. My son really enjoyed all of the cool little details to the hut. We enjoyed BBQ on the pit and playing a good uno game outside on the patio furniture. Took a good nap on the hammock. We Really enjoyed the private yard as well and absolutely adored the outside shower! No complaints has everything you need or forgot to pack for your stay! AC was very chilled and beds super comfy!

Really cute property, probably best with just 2 adults and maybe young teens who can maneuver the stairs. Property was clean, snacks provided, things to do and places to eat lists, easy check in and price were great! Some downfalls were the water in bathroom, small shower and a bit out of the way from things. It was just 2 of us so these things did not interfere with our visit.

Lovely for Short Stays!
This is a great place to stay for a weekend if you’re in the area doing wildlife stuff like visiting King’s Bay or Homosassa Wildlife park. It’s within minutes of manatee snorkel tours, boat rides and lots of great seafood! My host was really kind and put a lot of effort into the hippie hut. Everything was very comfy for me and my boyfriend, she offered to bring us a heater for cold nights and even allowed us to check in 45 minutes early! Would recommend bringing shower shoes, but otherwise a very good experience!
