Sporting events and performances by internationally recognised musicians and artists fill the year-round schedule at this multipurpose indoor event venue.

Hong Kong Coliseum is one of Hong Kong’s premier concert arenas and a location for varied sporting tournaments. Take your place among the 12,500-capacity seated audience and enjoy the superb acoustics and unobstructed views of the stadium stage. Inaugurated in 1983, the Hong Kong Coliseum was one of the host venues during the East Asian Games of 2009.

Asian bands and musicians top the billing at this indoor arena, also known as the Hung Hom Coliseum. Previous performers include the Cantopop singers Leslie Cheung and Vivian Chow in addition to Andy Lau, who is one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Hong Kong entertainment. Jazz bands and symphony orchestras also appear on the stage.

If you’re a sports fan, check the venue’s timetable for exciting international tournaments. See Hong Kong’s best badminton, basketball, table tennis and volleyball players in action. Marvel at the talents of martial arts masters and jump rope teams. Asian stand-up comedians, wellness talks and interpretations of hit Broadway musicals are among other events to enjoy.

Before you enter, stop in the piazza outside the coliseum and notice the striking architecture of the large white building. Its inverted pyramid shape was used to create the greatest amount of column-free space for unobstructed views.

Located in the Hung Hom district, the venue is easily accessible by taking the subway and train to the Hung Hom station. Hung Hom Ferry Pier is 20 minutes away by foot. Stop for pre-event food and drinks at the restaurants located in the nearby Fortune Metropolis shopping mall. The Hong Kong Museum of History and Hong Kong Science Museum are other major city attractions close to the arena.

Shows at the Hong Kong Coliseum take place year-round. A full list of current and upcoming events is available via the arena’s official website. Several events throughout the year are offered with free admission. Book your tickets online via the official website or at the box office, which is open daily.
