"We were staying here during the April 3rd earthquake (7.5). The staff jumped into action to keep safe and care for all guests. We want to commend the hotel for their response in a disaster. Additionally, the hotel was nice, with good amenities. We were not too far from the main area of town. We would love to go back and stay again."

"My stay at Champs de Roses was excellent. The room and facility was clean and it was nice to walk to the hotel after arriving by train. You can see the hotel across from the Hualien train station. However, what really made this stay nice was the exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful staff and service. From the concierge to the breakfast staff. The breakfast was also a favorite experience of mine. When talking to the staff, we learned the dumplings came from a local Hualien dumpling place...

"Comfortable stay overall. Modern hotel but no room service. Near train station and within walking distance on flat road. Huge toilet, the only thing that could be improved is perhaps should have shower curtain in toilet to shield water from wetting the whole toilet.
