"The place is in need of renovations. The carpet is old. The wallpaper is peeling. The grout in the bathroom is cracked. The drain in the tub does not open enough to allow the water to drain fast enough. And the shower area is too small. However, the location is unbeatable and the view is magnificent. We also enjoyed the paddle boats and the deck chairs."

"Cobble Mountain Lodge was a great place for our little family of three to use as a base to hike and explore the Lake Placid region. The cabin was cozy and fun, the a/c worked well, and the outdoor space and grill was quite helpful as we cooked a lot and the indoor space was not conducive to large meals. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again. There's even a short, nice, pedestrian friendly walk to Mirror Lake and the Lake Placid brewery."

Very cozy cottage, feels like home
"The cottage was a perfect place for my family of three. We're welcomed warmly with instruction notes for every need. A sofa hall in the middle of the Adirondacks with Wi-Fi was very comfy. The kitchen had everything to make breakfast and dinner and it's not surprising that we were totally ready for the next outdoor trip every time we went out. The backyard had a campfire setting but unfortunately it rained. The bedroom has a TV with a player and there were DVDs of movies that give the feel of the vacation and we watched Rush Hour. We thank Dorothy for the hospitality, it's a pleasurable place for a vacation. The cottage is very close to Lake Placid, Whiteface mountain and Keene Valley and easily accessible for hikers in the Adirondack. "
