"Perfect location near Elizabeth Street Mall"

"Beautiful heritage hotel. Easy walking to The Star casino and complex and skydeck, the pedestrian bridge to South Bank and the city cats on the river. Dining was lovely at Ryan's on the park and breakfast at The Lab, all within the hotel. Easy underground parking. The botanical gardens are close by and the free city loop bus around the city. Very helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. "

"The room has a balcony and it was relatively clean, the bed had a spring sticking out a bit but it was avoidable. The hotel is in an old building with quite a few steps leading to the reception area and more steps into the rooms out the back of the building, unless you get a room close to the reception area. The location is excellent, however if you're lugging a heavy suitcase don't walk from the valley train station, it's mostly uphill."

"Had a very pleasant stay. The shower water pressure was a bit low and the sun shone through the curtains in the morning, but otherwise it was comfortable and convenient. We enjoyed the location, within walking distance of so much in the Brisbane CBD. The breakfast was also tasty and a good value."

"Room was immaculate and comfortable. Man at the front desk very helpful and friendly. Nice to have a parking spot right out the front door. One thing, the pool could have been a touch cleaner. But overall a wonderful place to stay and would recommend to anyone!"
