"The place was exactly as advertised. Since we were visiting our son for Christmas, we were looking for something reasonable and close to his home. This was both. Also accessible at all hours, which we came & went. Very clean and nice. Only complaint was the bed was high and my husband had to help me in. Very quiet and beautiful."

"My family and I enjoyed a lovely 5 day stay visiting the sites of Sitka. The Hughes house was a highlight … mornings watching the ocean out the kitchen window and eagles flying by was special. Close to a grocery store and downtown nearby made for easy visiting of the Sitka activities. Wonderful memories of our stay at Hughes home!"

"I don't even know where to start! The view is AMAZING... Plenty of parking... Having the washer and dryer made our packing easier as we didn't need 11 days worth of clothes... The book Mindy put together with cool locations to check out, menus & great restaurant ideas was sooo useful!!! We only ate out twice and cooked there everyday and we never needed any pot, pan or utensil that wasn't already in the kitchen. "Four of us stayed to celebrate my 50th. The views were stunning and the house was spotless! We are happy we rented a car to get back & forth to town. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could need for a family meal. The host even provided coffee & snacks upon our arrival. Don’t hesitate-totally worth it! "

"This was our third stay in this property (obviously, we like it). The property is very quiet... little outside noise, well-insulated, very nicely kept, and solidly built. The owners are next door, and easily contactable, and very respectful of your privacy. Sitka is a small town, and most everything is within easy walking distance. Groceries are further than an easy walk, especially carrying groceries, but cabs are inexpensive... not an issue. The kitchen is large and well equipped, ...

"This is the second time I've stayed and would absolutely stay again. The views of the water are fabulous and it's short walk from town. The whole house is very well stocked with plenty of sitting room for many guests. There are games and books to keep yourself entertained while at home and the kitchen is fully stocked with whatever cooking you might want to do.
