Hotel is great if your just looking for somewhere too stay for a night out in Inverness, rooms are pretty basic, but nice enough and we're clean. If you enjoy a freezing cold shower, you have hit the jackpot! Used laundry filled a corridor till late in the evening so if Olympic sports is your thing, this again is great too high jump over and get your olympic dream going If your not a morning person, the welcome too breakfast, won't be an issue, the young girl greeting you, will be very sulen and moody that your not too be disturbed by any jolly Ness. Breakfast is like you have been cat fished, looks good, but stone cold. The toast was the hottest thing there, purely because you made it freshly yourself.happy too say though they kept up with the bitter coldness of everything and the apple juice, really hit the spot being lovely and chilled 😁

No near by parking even though Trivargo Advertised with parking. Photos of rooms very deceiving . Bathroom not particularly clean. Food options minimal and not great value for money . Have stayed in worse but would only recommend as a last resort.

This is an older boutique hotel with no stairs to navigate. There is a lift up the rooms as well as staircases.Yes, it is a bit rundown in the carpet, but everything I needed was clean and excellent. The staff, especially Jamie and Jiorja (spelling? Sorry, women!), could not have been more helpful in terms of getting taxis, answering questions, and generally being kind. Although I didn’t eat breakfast there, I did have dinner twice at MacNabs, the attached restaurant, and it was very good. When my room was cold, Jamie brought me a room heater immediately, and it was perfect. When I thought I had lost my wallet, they both tried to help. (I hadn’t.) The location is excellent, too, because although it is over the Ness River, shopping, even for those of us with walking disabilities, was very easy. Inverness is a small city, so if I can walk it with a rollator, pretty much anyone can!

Old unique building. Definitely could use refreshing as very worn out, but the room was very large. The location on the river was great.

A good stay, thought the hotel room is a bit dated. The premises were clean, the bathroom was new and renovated, thought the carpeting in the room itself could use a good shampooing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located to everything you would like to see in Inverness. Tesco is just down the street for essentials. Pubs, restaurants and shops are just over the bridge.

The property was undergoing extensive exterior renovations when we arrived - which from an aesthetics perspective was not great but did not really interfere with our stay. The hotel was within reasonable walking distance of trains, buses, shopping, live entertainment, dining options, etc. One criticism was the stairs / lift situation. The lift takes you part way to your room (we were on the 3rd floor). Then there are stairs to navigate and narrow doorways to get your luggage through. Managing heavy duffle bags up stairs and through multiple sets of narrow doorways was a chore for seniors. There was no mention of that in the property write-up.
