The foyer is superb with an old world charm about it, comfortable and the service is very good. However, there are areas throughout the hotel that need refurbishment e.g. carpet, windows and bathroom fittings.

The price was favourable in comparison with other places in town. The bed was the comfiest I've slept in for ages! The bedroom was nicely roomy, and very cosy with the wall heater working well. The bath which contained shower wasn't too high which was a thankful bonus re my joints! The bath could do with a recolouring (guess you can't grout/sand/colour a bath the same as you can a wall!!) a few inches along from the plug hole inclusive, in varying parts. Noise factor - was aware of hearing talking from room next door and could hear water running/ toilet flushing like it was in my own room - maybe 3rd floor is where the servants lived in bygone era! All in all a good stay - all staff I met were very nice and helpful.

sash window in room 304 wasn't secure. The wind howled in through major gaps between the windows and it rattled something terrible Although no staff came in to tidy which is fine, it would have been nice to at least have a top up of the hospitality tray

Property was great. Our room was clean, comfy beds. Although it’s practically on top of the train station, noise was not a problem. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The parking nearby was not bad but you have to pay for it. And the taxi drivers are very rude when you are dropping off your luggage or packing up to go in the small front lot. However, the lobby is beautiful and this is so close to everything in Inverness. So the location can't be beat, and the front entrance is stunning. Parking isn't bad, just costs money. The attached restaurant is pretty good, and the option for breakfast was nice. The room okay -- somewhat small but not a bad place to rest. The TV did not offer much in terms of programming.
