"Arrived first day to a welcome reception. The first room we were given had a stale smoke smell, we asked to be moved and was told it wasn't possible however 10 minutes later we received a call from reception saying there was now a room. We moved and found the room was very nice clean and modern. The roof top bar is very nice at sunset however we found we could not buy individual items from the set menu. The waiter must have felt bad for this and sorted us some custard tarts as an apology but...

We stayed in a self-catering villa and it's certainly the best hotel we've stayed at for these rates per night (and preferable to having bed and breakfast at a lesser hotel). Fantastic beach and location. The only negative being the rather rusty and dated equipment in the gym. Overall, highly recommended."

"3HB hotel in Faro is excellent. The entire staff (front desk, concierge, cleaning, restaurants, spa, etc.) are very helpful and make you feel welcome. The rooms, bathrooms and balconies are large, nice and super clean. The spa is great. The restaurants are also very good. The weather was not so good during my stay in January but the hotel made it very pleasant. I will definitively choose 3HB Faro next time I visit Algarve."

"We had a two bedroom suite at the Residences. Hotel is beautiful but it is very spread out. To go to beach and main hotel building you need to take a shuttle which you may need to wait for 15-20 minutes. For a 5 star resort service was a bit spotty. We had a mishap at breakfast- was told we can do a la cart instead of buffet but ended up waiting for 1 hour to get eggs which was ridiculous. This hotel is also outside of Albufeira so location is not super convenient - you have to drive to town. "

"We stayed here for 4 nights and our stay was great. The staff on reception were so friendly and helpful and greeted us every time with a smile and hello as we were on the same floor. The staff at breakfast and at the bar were also friendly and welcoming. Our room was great with a balcony over looking the pool. The spa treatments were great and value for money was amazing. The only thing to comment on which wasn’t too big an issue was the ‘gym’. An outside area with machines which were...

"General facilities very good - certain areas need a bit of an uplift. The loungers in the Spa are annoying - the cushions keep sliding off!"
