"A home away from home. Our second stay at this fantastic lodge within 3 months. Our first trip was as a family with 3 young children and the most recent trip with my father and sister. Everything you could need ever need inside and outside from children’s colouring and games to condiments to views of the sea and the most beautiful starry nights. A welcome bottle of wine and chocolate on arrival and Kris was a fantastic host. Thank you very much, hopefully we will be back again very soon"

"This place is for people who love peace and quiet and privacy, we do. Noise from the road is almost minimal, perhaps if you sit in the front garden but we spent all time in the back garden watching sunrises, ships passing by, listening to bird songs early morning, fishing from the private beach. "The property was disappointing and not worth the money that we spent. The kitchen needs some attention and there was a bare minimum of cutlery and kitchen equipment. It also needed a deep clean. The upstairs bedroom were also very basic, tired and not welcoming."

"This place was perfect four the four of us and could have easily accommodated 4 more. Everything was there and communication was easy and responsive. The place was very quiet and clean and has great views. We were able to have my aunts and uncles over for some guitar playing and singing and there was plenty of seating. This is the place you want to stay when in the Campbeltown area. The Swans"

"I can’t praise this property enough! It has been done up to a fantastic spec, very clean, very very well equipped and everything is set out and explained very well. (I always bring extra tea towels, kitchen foil etc because most houses we stay in never have them but this place had everything). The view is amazing, and you can walk straight onto the beach. The owner was super helpful and pleasant to deal with. Thanks you for a wonderful stay!"

"The cottage is cosy, clean and very inviting. Shiskine is a wonderful place to stay, quiet and very appealing. It's very close to Blackwaterfoot, which is beautiful. The Kinloch Hotel does marvellous meals (takeaways too). What really makes the stay worthwhile is the landlady, Jan. Last year, when we couldn't get off the island due to ferry problems, Jan put us up for an extra with no charge.
