The airline had lost our bags en route and we showed up tired and frustrated from that experience but the hotel staff were so welcoming and kind that we soon snapped out of it. Marilyn in particular was especially helpful in helping us navigate the airline’s lost baggage system and even took it over for us, calling each day and speaking with them (our Italian is terrible). "I stayed at the Ostuni Palace for 2 nights at the beginning of October. The hotel is a short walk from centre and in a quiet location with beautiful views of town and surrounding area from outside. I had an average room, clean and comfortable. Restaurant / breakfast was very good. Hotel staff pleasant and eager to assist. "Beautiful, clean and spacious property perfect for a large family gathering. Kids loved the trulli and pool. Plenty of room to congregate in common area and at large tables (one inside, 2 outside) for meals. Close (15 -20 min drive) to Ostuni, Ceglie Messapica and beaches. Nice location but must have a car for transportation. Minor negatives: some of the mattresses were a bit hard and showers must be short as hot water can run out."
