"Do not book here. Literally no customer service. Signs are not clear on where the hotel is. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds ever. You’re better off sleeping in a hostel for cheaper. There’s two night clubs that blast music all night; which is what was expected. But the clubs were super lame overall. You’re pretty much in a room with a double bed and that’s all to it. "Stayed here with my family as we explored Lake Atitlan. It's truly an amazing house with views of the volcanos and lake. Communication with the host was easy and prompt. Two things to note: There are stairs (~3 stories) required to get up to the house. This was not an issue for us, but it would be very difficult for physically impaired guests. Beautiful, convenient place but not very bright.

"I love the location, convenience and atmosphere - quiet, beautiful garden setting with spa setting in back. Only draw back is the room was not well-lit. Overhead lights, designed for two bulbs, only had one. We asked for another bulb, maintenance was sent. At first he said he did not have the "tools" to replace bulb. DUH. We showed him they covers come off by hand turning a small know. He then said he did not have authorization to add a second bulb. Seemed a little petty to scrimp on the bulb and electricity. Charge me an extra dollar a night so I can see in the dark corners of the room."

"Very charming hotel overlooking the lake. Lovely landscaping made for beautiful outdoor spaces to lie in a hammock, sit by the water, etc. Our room was clean and nice, but the bathroom and sheets could have been better. Breakfast was good - you get some options of traditional Guatemalan, more American style, pancakes, yogurt/granola etc. It is built into the hillside over the lake so there is some walking up and down to get around, but the staff kindly helped us with our luggage. No TVs in our room so would recommend bringing books / a deck of cards. We enjoyed using the free kayaks but were a little disappointed the hot tub was an additional charge. The area is in between San Juan and San Pedro - it's an easy walk into San Juan by a path down by the water, and easy to walk into San Pedro too but it's along a main road without sidewalks. Tuktuks are cheap and easy ways to get around, as are water taxis."

"I was blown away by the breathtaking views and the amazing room! It was incredibly spacious and had everything I could possibly need. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were exceptionally polite, reliable, and professional. I’m really glad I chose to stay at Jenny’s Paradise! Yvan was also a huge help in arranging tours and sharing invaluable local insights."
