Communication with the host was excellent—he went above and beyond by arranging for his dad to check me in at 1 PM, an hour earlier than the standard check-in time. The cabin itself was cozy and well-maintained, and the view was absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!"

Patrick met us at the door full of information and support of us enjoying Costa Rica. Being in the mountains was a treat. The best part was waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and other wild life and having chef prepared breakfast :) Some reviews did mention the bugs: you're in nature; it's expected and you get used to it and they do have pest control. No AC, but they provided fans and it was comfortable. Place is MUCH larger than the pictures. Highly recommend hiring James to cook for you!! We had him prepare breakfast daily! "Bret and his crew were awesome people, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The property is wonderful, we hiked it almost everyday following the many trails and finding plateaus with amazing views of Lake Arenal. Sitting on the patio having a favourite beverage, we listened to howler monkeys, saw white faced monkeys, and many species of birds including parrots and toucans. Overall we had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend a stay at CRParaiso."

"The property is good floor plan and located with the view of the lake. There are two excellent restaurants about a three minute drive. The nearby town of Tilaran Is everything you would need.
