"A short break at half term for the grandkids. Very nice accommodation. Heating tolerable for Nov but turning the thermostat up had little affect. The setting of the lodge is excellent. Nice walks and views. Thankfully the weather remained dry even if it was overcast. Would recommend this lodge and helpful owner. Lots to see/di in the area. The nearest shops are Keswick which is a drive away so buy before you arrive. The kids liked the Puzzle museum in Keswick and going out on Derwenter Water...

"The property was lovely, and clean. A great location with good amenities. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor which was a bit tricky for us staying with young kids and not mentioned in the information, and the on street parking availability on the street mentioned nearby was really limited, but we travelled on a very busy school holiday weekend. "My friend and I stayed here for a few days and we had a great time. The apartment was super clean, really modern, spacious and comfortable and just the perfect place to go back to after a long walk. It’s near loads of nice bars, restaurants and coffee shops in a great location with nearby parking provided by the host. Steve was quick to respond to any messages and queries we had. Will definitely be going back!"

"Delightful country home with excellent communal areas. The kitchen was ideal for us. We’d love to cook and spend time at a big table and it was warm and cozy and friendly and cheerful. The living room is excellent and such a well-equipped bookshelf we couldn’t have even dreamed of. Everything we needed was there including the fireplace and enough beds and bed sheets and towels. We were warm and cozy and in a great location to access many other Lake District points of interest and hiking trail...
