"We had an excellent stay at umaid bhavan. It may not be a true 4 star property but for a heritage hotel, it more than makes up for it with its distinctive character , friendly staff and tasty food. Location is not that great, but not a show stopper for most travelers with their own transportation. Some of negative reviews are because of high prices in peak seasons ... "

"there is a beautiful lake with Jal Mahal, just opposite the hotel, where I liked spending early mornings or evenings. The hotel is a short ride away from the forts and Hawa Mahal. Rohan , Anika and Vikram with a glowing smile and attentive service and incredible pasta by chef Mohammad Soyal / better than I have had in NY Italian town -his dishes need to be used in the main dining area.
