We were assured by the owners that the cottage has been cleaned, but we did send photos of both buildings that proved otherwise. A cleaner was sent a day later but by then, we had already cleaned a bit. The kitchen had a tap that wasn't properly attached, stinky dish cloths, oven mitts with holes, drawers and cupboards...

"We stayed as a family of four with two young children at the end of summer. The property is beautiful and the water very shallow quite a ways out so it was perfect for our 1.5 and 2.5 year olds. They had a blast playing in the water, riding around in the kayak and playing with some beach toys provided. The cottage got both very hot and cold while we were there with the fluctuating temps that week. The fans in every room work wonders and there is heating if needed. Adequate and comfortable...

The location is peaceful and quiet, the sound of the Palmer Rapids in the distance at night was like listening to the ocean. "We rented this property for a weeks vacation to go snowmobiling. It is located very close to the trails, and the circular driveway made trailer parking very easy. The house itself was great - clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, huge dining table, and everything as promised. We would definitely return to this location!"

At this time of year there were no neighbours which added to the peace and quiet. We were 15 minutes to Barry's Bay and 6 minutes to Madonna House.
