"Lovely property in close proximity to the beach at Challaborough Bay and a short walk to Bigbury. The property was as described and overlooks the Challaborough Bay holiday park. It's great for surfing and visiting Bigbury/Burgh Island. Salcombe is a short drive and there are many National Trust places to visit. Note that the drive down to the property is a typical road to the coast (e.g. steep and narrow)."

WiFi was intermittent at times but with the views and seals keeping us entertained it wasn’t a big problem. We did let the owners know about it not being clean and they were going to rectify this with the company they used. 100% would stay again it’s idilic."

"Great location. Lovely accommodation, with all bedrooms great size, lounge large and bright, and a massive dining table. Kitchen had everything you could need, and more crocks than seen anywhere else. All very clean and tidy. A very comfortable home from home for a family holiday including toddlers and dogs. Would definitely think about going back. Our first time to the Salcombe area, which we really enjoyed, both Salcombe and the spectacular surrounding coastline and villages."

"Getting to Peacehaven was quite an event, the main roads are easy to navigate. The lanes are a different story, narrow with passing places, very constricted by high banks needing a lot of concentration to navigate safely. Wind your door mirrors in unless you want the drivers side damaged by passing traffic on the lanes. Peacehaven once reached gave fabulous views out to Bigbury on Sea, Banntham Bay, Burgh Island and its hotel with the seascape beyond as well as the estuary leading inland. The...

The house was amazing, from a very well equipped kitchen, lovely bedrooms and relaxing seating areas, all beautifully decorated.There was a large garden, (athough the little ones needed supervision as there are two large ponds), and a lovely courtyard seating area. A very well stocked under stairs cupboard with windbreak, chairs, parasol etc for the beach.Also games,and a pool/table tennis...

"The person that met me seemed very disinterested. The room they gave me didn't match the pictures on Hotels.com. It was tiny, I wouldn't have booked it if the pictures had shown the correct room. The shower didn't work. The person seemed unconcerned, just said a guest had broken it and there was a bathroom down the hall. The bathroom down the hall looked like someone's personal bathroom, with toothbrushes, lots of personal toiletries etc. The person didn't offer an alternative room, even though there were unbooked rooms. Wanted to charge me more if I moved to their other single room. The whole feel of the person who met me was of someone that really didn't want any guests. No information given about front door access times, checking out, other general info, just here's your room. I can sleep anywhere, I ofen camp in a tent so I'm not a fussy person. This is the first time I've ever left a poor review, I'm not a serial complainer. Just not "as described" wrong room, no shower, no interest shown by proprietor."
