"This is an old grand beautiful hotel which is upgraded, so rooms are large and prices are reasonable. We had a two bedroom unit which was completely private with a large common area and bar-fridge/ coffee making etc. bedrooms were large with king sized beds. There are sockets for bedside lamps but there weren’t lamps, a minor fixable issue. "I really enjoyed my stay at this motel. I know others have complained about the traffic noise, but I did not find it a problem. You can only hear it if you concentrate on listening out for it. The room was comfortable and clean with all the necessary amenities. I particularly liked the movable and adjustable reading light, which meant I could comfortably read in bed. This is not the case in many motels. I will definitely stay there again when I go to Bendigo."

"Great find for a two night stay In Bendigo VIC. Our KB suite was beautifully appointed. Comfortable bed, two seater lounge and dining table. Double vanity. Good pressure shower. We didn’t visit the restaurant but it looked as though a good menu was on offer. Not available some nights though. Lovely central garden with a pool. A microwave available for use in the guest laundry. Would stay again. "

"I really enjoyed my stay at this motel. I know others have complained about the traffic noise, but I did not find it a problem. You can only hear it if you concentrate on listening out for it. "The Elm is good value for money. Its facilities are basic, but it has almost everything that a motel room needs. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the towels were clean and soft. The only aspect of the room that I found lacking was that there was no 'mesh' curtain on the window so during the day the choice was between the blind being down with no daylight coming in, or the blind being up with full visibility from outside into the room. "
