"We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 4 nights and enjoyed every second of it. We had a private pool in our room but also used the wonderful pool area by the sea. Compliments to the chef and her staff for good food and fun experience during the cooking class. This hotel is one of the best ones I have stayed at and would warmly recommend it to everyone."

"The property was absolutely gorgeous, almost like a dream, with 2 beautiful shaped pools and a connected waterfall, with frangipangi trees and blossoms everywhere. The nearby beach (Mae Haad) is just gorgeous. The room cleaning service staff was excellent. The front desk and restaurant staff were pleasant but not super sharp. The restaurant had a nice breakfast and very good Thai food. Some of the non Thai food that we had was mediocre."

"Wonderful property and staff Literally steps to the beach. Quaint little street connected to the property with very good western food 7/11 and mini marts within 5 min walk. Cute pool lots of families with small kids so not a party place but very cool and chill. Very calm water waist deep paddleboards available. Nice sun rise location if weather permits. Only negative might be pool hours 7 to 7 Great spot would return again"

"The Explorar Koh Phangan was an amazing property. The staff was awesome. Breakfast buffet was great. The pool, the room, fitness center all great. Not to mention an amazing sunset every night. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. "

"Nice hotel but reception desk seemed unhappy. Room and pool area was nice but no loungers or service on the beach. Road to get to and from the hotel was potholed and difficult to walk - especially after the rain. Can go around the beach tho"

"Above all I would thank the wonderful staff, especially Dao and Rein, who were extremely helpful in every way. Their effort alone, to guarantee our satisfaction, is praiseworthy. Our upper floor room offered a majestic Western view. And given the number of rooms available we were astonished at how quiet the resort was. However, I must add, the steps to the upper rooms are quite steep, and given my ripe age of 72, I’d suggest that anyone with physical limitations be sure to clafify the room location - as there is no elevator. Otherwise our stay at Sunset was very pleasant and a great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet spot, with a great view, away from the crowded beach resorts. "
