The hostel is within walking distance of the main railway station, but this also means that the distances to various sights are very long. But it has a really big and well-equipped kitchen, nice staff and nice activities where you can get to know other people from the hostel.

Second time staying at PIECE Kyoto and the experience was just as great as last time - very close to Kyoto station, very clean and amenities for a hostel were great, especially at it's price . Staff were friendly as well. Would definitely stay again.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was conveniently 6min from the train station (as long as you exit from the correct exit/gate). The area had a ton of food options and it was easy to get around via bus /train to all of the main tourist attractions. I enjoyed that the hostel sold one day subway and bus pass. It was definitely the more affordable option compared to tapping your card everywhere. The area was safe and quiet. My room was a decent size. I got a single room loft. It’s small in comparison to other countries, but it was enough for me. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Showers were clean. I also used the washer and dryer and they were easy to use. The receptionist all spoke English. They also had game nights and activities so it was easy to meet people. I would stay here again.
