"We had a great time here. The property is fascinating and our hosts, John and Kirk, were there if we needed them and invisible when we didn't. They were both charming and made our stay the best. "Friendly staff, spacious room, and close proximity to my business conference. However, my bathroom smelled like mildew and the shower wand didn’t work. The hotel is a bit on the older side than I’m used to, but in a small town like Gilford, it matches the aesthetic. I’ve heard other options aren’t as great, so I will likely end up staying again next year. The staff are very attentive to your needs, though, and I had no other issues with my stay. "Before the pandemic, we stayed here a few times and enjoyed it. We decided to try again this week. What a pleasant surprise to stay in a totally updated 2 bedroom unit. Wow! Super impressed with the Summit. Super quiet at night, beautifully taken care of resort and close to so many fun things. 5 stars!!!"

"It was a nice little place, but you're not going to get a "hotel" experience, if that's what you're looking for. It's in a beautiful location, and the ability to go outside and sit by the firepits (gas lit with a timer, so very easy to turn on) is wonderful. On the flip side, the rooms are a little small, there's no real service like a hotel, and if someone is staying there with kids, it can be loud, as the walls don't seem to stop sound very well.
