"Glarnerhof has always been a great place to stay and to eat. The restaurant is very busy with locals for lunch and dinner. I had lamb twice that was so mild that I might have thought it was beef. The hotel is undergoing a remodel which will be done soon but I did not encounter too much trouble from that. "What a unique and interesting property with an amazing Staff. One Person in particular, I believe her name was Leonia, went over and above to help us in any way possible . She was extremely caring and even made us food baskets for our early morning flight as we had to leave the hotel before breakfast time. We stayed in the tower and had amazing mountains and lake view. "Genial staff allowed me to practice my German instead of immediately switching to English, as many would do. Room was clean and modern, a short walk from the train station and to the heart of the old town. The hotel itself and the ground floor restaurant have preserved many features of the building's three or four hundred year history, a delight for this traveler."
