"For a hotel with as many rooms as it has, the area around the pool and restaurant never felt crowded, we were always able to get sunbeds for our party of 3. Reception was very welcoming when we arrived late (due to delays in passport control) which was heartening. Our room was spacious and well maintained, the housekeeping team were great. It would have been better if there were sufficient seats on the balcony - we moved a seat from the dining table so we could all sit together. The kitchen was well equipped and a great facility - although we didn't self cater - plenty of glasses and plates for drinks and snacks. Breakfast was good, although the choices were the same every day (but then again, breakfast is breakfast). More fruit choices would have been a plus. Checkout was seamless: as we were leaving early and would miss the breakfast service, we were offered a substitute which was great - no prompt was needed, again very welcome. Top marks for customer service and hospitality - thank you for a great stay."

"Loved everything about this property. Views and property were beautiful, rooms were spacious, modern, and quiet, easily walkable to a great beach (Praia do Porto de Mos), multiple pool options, and 10 min walk to access the boardwalk that runs to the lighthouse and then the string of beautiful beaches close by (Praia de Camilo, Praia da Ana etc). Very close drive to Old Town which was very charming and had tons of shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend!"

"The cost performance was excellent. It’s one of the largest resort facilities in the Lagos area, and the room was spacious enough for a family of four. Everything was clean, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. There were also two pools, which we enjoyed comfortably. The surrounding area had several beaches and supermarkets, making it a very convenient location."

"We stayed at Iberostar Lagos in late July with our extended family — 8 of us, including grandparents, kids (ages 7 and 9), and adults with different dietary needs — and it exceeded expectations. The location is unbeatable: right above Meia Praia, with stunning ocean views and easy beach access. You’re close enough to enjoy the energy of Lagos town (just a 5–10 minute drive) but far enough to feel relaxed and quiet. Rooms were modern, clean, and spacious. Loved the water stations all throughout the hotel. The staff was absolutely fantastic!!! Carolina, the manager, was always available and helped us with restaurant recommendations and planning our day. Top notch! Ismael and Anna were excellent from the check in process to any questions we had in between. Paulo and the entire bar staffed attended all our drink needs and were very friendly. The kids loved the kids club and the staff there (2 lovely ladies). Breakfast buffet in the morning was lovely. Shalini at the egg station was extremely nice and a great chef. Service was friendly, and the hotel had a mellow, unpretentious vibe. The pools (indoor and outdoor) were clean and not too crowded, and our kids loved taking a quick dip in the mornings. Iberostar Lagos hits the mark. Would definitely return!"

"O hotel é muito bem localizado, muito embora não tenha estacionamento próprio, há vagas gratuitas em frente. Recepção solicita e eficiente. Café da manhã delicioso, com vários itens sempre frescos, frutas, pães, e frios. Quarto com varanda, chuveiro potente, cama confortável,e roupas de cama e banho novas e perfumadas. Fui por recomendação do meu filho e nora, e eu mesma recomendo a estadia no CARVI."

"Just an outstanding property. Apartment was extremely spacious and very clean. Weirdly, we stayed in a 2 bed apartment last year which had a washing machine but our 3 bed this year did not (!). Location is perfect. A short 5 minute walk to the supermarket and 5-10 minute walk to the marina and old town which has lots of shops and restaurants. I’d like to specifically mention Amy at the pool bar who was genuinely brilliant throughout our stay. She was so helpful with regards to restaurant recommendations and was such a lovely person to deal with throughout our stay. Overall, Marina Club is just outstanding, we are really looking forward to our next stay. Highly, highly recommended."
