"Hotel is a little old / outdated. Breakfast was good! I was expecting a better / warmer welcome from the front desk team. Room is not very quiet but overall comfortable. Someone (staff) opened the door without knocking when I was in the room. Not sure if I would stay there again. Good for the price. "

"Much more spacious on the inside than it appears on the outside. Clean, warm, welcoming, good location, good communication from caretaker, well presented. Unfortunately, the 2 small fridges are not adequate for 10 people, and the kitchen was a bit shy on the glasses and cutlery front, but other than that, it was an absolutely great house. The mezzanine level is a really useful extra living space, without being completely separate from the rest of the house. "

"Staff and ownership were completely gracious and outgoing. Grounds were kept well except for a grass clippings pile along their river walk. The rooms and communal rooms were all very clean and historic. I would totally recommend this for a countryside stay."
