"Pros- inexpensive (not cheap) and in the best location. It’s safe, and can be safely accessed with great internet connectivity. Cons- there is a huge delay between your problem and their solution. Ex: Someone smoked in my room prior - it wasn’t reported so I could be assigned a new room. I had one pillow and need 2. I had one towel - and need 2. "

"I like these apartments, they are an easy walk from the station. They are simple but smartly done. The sound proofing on the windows is excellent and if you are in a room at the front of the building you need it. The TV reception is a bit sketchy for the foreign channels but the WiFi is good enough to watch things on your own devices. "

"Was really a great experience staying here. Checked in early with no problem and accommodation was very clean and neat. Everything we needed was there. "The property is spacious with loads of cupboard space. It is ideal for a family or friends get together. The location is in a quiet residential area, but proximity to the Euroairport and Basel makes it an ideal base. A good supermarket is only three minutes away for food and other supplies."

"Lumen apartments are great. Very nice parking, bed, shower, kitchen. The only complaint was a drainage smell that was coming out of the kitchen sink. We couldn’t figure it out while we were there but I need to mention that management responded really quick to all my emails or phone calls and offered to send someone to check the smell but we were out all day and only come to the apartment to sleep so we were able to tolerate the smell for a little bit. "Highly recommended to anyone who loves to get out in the mountains. Networks of beautifully signposted Swiss footpaths pass the front door. The scenery is dramatic - limestone cliffs creating steep sided gorges - and makes for some challenging mountain biking! Gabriele was a generous host and her apartment made a cosy and extremely comfortable base for exploring. We were grateful for the warm log stove on the cool October nights."

Keep in mind that there is not an elevator and it seems that the rooms are on higher levels. Overall I would recommend staying here as it is secure and a lovely place."

"Wir waren zum Familienbesuch in der Schweiz dort in der Wohnung. Sehr geräumig, sauber und top Service. Hatten schöne Tage dort und kommen gerne wieder."

"Auf den Bildern sah die Unterkunft ok aus. Entweder waren die Bilder alt oder es war gut fotografiert. Dort angekommen war ich erstmal geschockt... Die Sauberkeit lies zu wünschen übrig. Zudem sehr abgewohnt und teilweise kaputt. Gegen alt habe ich nichts aber ganz sollte es schon sein. Schmutzige Töpfe, dreckige Schränke, in der Waschmaschine wollte ich auch nichts waschen... Die Umgebung war jetzt auch nicht das optimale. Wir haben das Beste draus gemacht aber werden sicher nicht wieder...

But it invited some bugs too.. and noise of trams& cars passing by. Extra towels would have been helpful, we had to wash...

"My wife and I stayed at this hotel early December as part of a break to visit the Christmas Markets - exemplary customer service at all times, thoughtful and supportive staff, lovely/well equipped room, very clean and comfortable. Lovely location with only a short walk to the centre (trams and buses stop outside the hotel if you do not wish to walk the short distance). After many years of business travel and many stays around the world, the service at this hotel was nothing less than exceptional.
