Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles. We only sampled breakfast--the granola parfait was perfect. "

"We all enjoyed our relaxing break at this very impressive property. A very warm welcome greeted us at this very cosy and comfortable barn conversion located in the peaceful Cumbrian countryside."

"What a beautiful location and lovely little cottage. We were worried about the size of the bunk beds as we didn't realise they were not full size but my daughter and friend (5'11" and 5'9" found them very comfortable). The track up to the house was more of a problem. Glad our car has lots of clearance - a small car would not have managed those pot holes!"

"Loved our stay. Our first family trip away with our 10 week old baby and even she loved it. We had everything we needed at our finger tips. The only slight downfall was the Wi-Fi connection. It was quite hard to connect to and very slow. Being in an area with poor reception for data, the Wi-Fi was definitely needed but we both struggled to get any use out of it. Amazing place though, would recommend. "

"Was left over chinese takeaway in fridge. Bed sheets were disgusting, lots of hairs and stains. Cups were unwashed. Decking was so slippy, green molud, nearly had a bad fall. Fold away chairs in main bedroom which seems to be from outside had spider nets. We came home after being there few hours and was meant to stay 4 nights. We were so disappointed, angry, deflated as saved up our hard earned cash for our 4 nights away and ended us coming home before we should have. "

"The cottage is in a lovely quiet rural location with beautiful views. As a family of four the two bedrooms with a jack and jill bathroom worked well for us. The lounge is comfortable and spacious and the kitchen a lovely size too, with a table to eat at. Despite checking in online earlier that morning and advising of expected arrival time, I didn't receive the code for the lock box and all attempts at contacting the host failed, no response to phone calls or text messages, in fact the host declined my calls on numerous occasions. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED that this host left a solo female traveler stood outside in the rain and in the dark for over an hour...

"The house was everything we needed, opposite a pub and the swimming pool. The villagers were very friendly and helpfull, especially in the swimming pool. Unfortunately the internet stopped working on the third day but the rental company responded out of hours to help sort it out.."

Unfortunately there are a lot of roadworks going on direcrly outside the entrance so that is not very convenient. "The hotel is a large old inn on the outside, but inside is modern, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and looked after us very well. For example: we were shown to our room on arrival (never had that before) and were a font of knowledge about the various local walks and sights. There is even a map painted on the ceiling of the bar! Restaurant was an excellent source of hearty and freshly cooked meals (breakfasts and dinners). Highly recommend."
