"I went for two night stay and I was very lucky with the weather. At times it felt like summer and I was able to sit and wait for squirrels in the nearby reserve. The hotel was comfortable. "Fantastic location, convenient base for short Ullswater stay. Staff mostly great and welcoming, rooms very clean, corridors and paintwork showing wear and many scuffs.
