"The hotel location was amazing. Great staff and amazing check in! Cannot recall his name but he was great. The restaurant however wa aa bit of a disappointment. The food was not good at all and I even told the waiter the steaks were not good as very rough and I didn’t even eat mine. Nothing changed. No credit or offer for something else. "

"The central location places a guest near most center city attractions and within walking distances. Downside were the occasional late-night crowd noises and few outlets for any sundry or drug store needs."

"Good hostel. It is the middle of the old town. Very convenient for visiting all the attractions. Rooms and beds are clean and comfortable. Staffing is very friendly. I highly recommend this place. "

"Great location, just a 5 min walk from the metro - and theres actually a sneaky way that makes it even closer that we didnt know about til we left - they have an elevator that goes down below the bridge where theres no foot traffic making walking w/luggage a breeze and goes straight to the train station. They had a full restaurant and offered an AYCE order off the menu breakfast at a very reasonable price - 18 euros a person i think? Comfortable bed, nice soaking tub. Tub and shower are separate so you can enjoy a Japanese style bath if you wanted. Only downside is that the room i got was a "city view" and our view was just a brick walk. We joked about how bc the room came with photographs of the city on their walls that that was made it "city view" lol. However, we don’t travel to just look out the window of our hotel. We wanna get out there! I'd just say dont bother paying more for a room that claims to have a view. I'm sure some do but you may not be so lucky. Again, location was great. Not only dist to metro but to the heart of Edinburgh- minutes from Calton Hill w/a great view of the city and all the shops/restaurants/castle."
