The staff were amazing and it was a great place to stay for such a good price. The train station is barely ten minutes with a twenty minute ride straight to the centre of Liverpool

We had a 3 night stay visiting family in the area. Whilst the hotel is conveniently located for transport links we did feel the hotel is a little tired and could do with a bit of tlc. We were in one of the family rooms and it was draughty as one of the beds is close to the window and tjere is a seperate stand alone heater provided in the room so it must be known that its not the warmest room. A few other things , for a room that sleeps 4 we had 2 mugs in the room and one small bottle of water when we arrived - not major issues but just require a bit of attention to detail. As stated rooms could do with a lick of paint , the mattresses are not the best but i have to say we all slept very well during our stay. The staff are excellent and Von and his team are very welcoming . Breakfast seemed ok but im jot much of a breakfast person so just stuck to coffee. The bar and restaurant area is very nice. Overall a pleasant stay but at a £140 a night you expect a little bit more - im sure a bit of tlc would transform this hotel .

Always come here when we come to Liverpool. Staff are so helpful and it feels like home away from home. Breakfast is amazing. Excellent Manager. Although it is a dated property I still love it.

We stayed as a family of four. The double bed was very low, materess too small for the frame and not big enougb for teo adults. Skirting boards and walls dirty, shower trickled and had no hot water. Best thing was the breakfast! Hot anderved quickly and girls serving were polite

Room 5 featured a very soft mattress that didn’t meet hotel quality standards, along with a low bed. The curtains allowed a lot of light to enter and could benefit from better lining. Additionally, this room is located at the front, facing the main road traffic, alot of traffic noise . Cooked English breakfast was excellent, cooked to order .

Fount the bathroom sink was too small which made it difficult to wash our face and brush our teeth. I feel that the beds need to be updated and higher. Due to this I hit my foot on the corner of the bed numerous times on each visit. The bedside draw did not stay closed and kept opening. Although I really like this property I feel that it requires general updating. The service I cannot fault at all. Would have liked a fridge in our room so we could put our drinks etc in.
