I wanted to give this apartment 5/5, but it had a few issues that required attention.
The good stuff -
We chose this apartment as it sleeps 7 and we were 6 adults. The apartment was very clean, had plenty of towels, and bedding. It had some beautiful artwork on the walls, lots of comfy cushions, a supply of books and ornaments. They have certainly worked on the aesthetics to make the place welcoming.
Now for the issues –
“Nestled in a family-friendly neighbourhood” -
The apartment faced the busy main road with an Indian restaurant opposite it. There were nightclubs very close and the street was noisy until the early hours.
“The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for family meals” - There were only 4 coffee mugs in the cupboard, 5 dinner plates and 5 forks, one of our party had to eat out of a bowl, with a spoon. No chopping board, no sieve. no tea towel. With 6 people there is a need to wash up. You need something to remove hot food from the oven, if not oven gloves at least a tea towel, also very frustrating was only 3 dining chairs.
There was no hand soap or shampoo in either bathroom as listed, with hand soap being a minimum hygiene requirement and should have been there.
When I stay away from home, I just want to book into somewhere and find as advertised and not spend my (often precious annual leave) time trying to get issues rectified.
However I would stay here again, I know these points are minimal, but attention to detail is so important when staying away.
