"Overnight stay in Santa Cruz with my Wife - Hotel beds were terrible - Asked for double-Got singles and mine tipped over in the night sending me sprawling to the floor. Room was uber basic, far too hot and sweaty and the ceiling fan made next to no difference. Had to open all windows and listen to street noise all night to be able to breathe. "The hotel is basic a literally a room, reception is via another hotel a few doors up, convenient for shops and transport links. I made the mistake of assuming air conditioning was available but there isn’t any and it isn’t advertised as an amenity so the room was too hot for me. As a suggestion, a fan would be an option."
