Firstly - the staff was excellent. Unfortunately for this hotel and this area, there is a SIGNIFICANT problem with un-homed people and drug users in the area. Every time I went to my car in the underground parking there were people using drugs and defecating. It smelled of urine. We even felt unsafe in our room - as the lobby was often un-manned, and the elevator did not require a key to use.

The area is very sketchy. A lot of drunks and drug addicts are hanging around just at the door of the hotel and there is no security. The breakfast is terrible.

Double queen room was crowded but clean, bed was comfortable, large TV, hotel was quiet, breakfast area was spacious, breakfast was good, hotel has underground parking ($16 HST in 2024), tent city not far from hotel, group of drug addicts beside building, one was hidden in a nook along the walkway between the front entrance and the underground parking. Hotel employee said that they don't bother guests. They didn't bother us, but we still felt unsafe, and as a woman, I would not have gone to our car alone.

The hotel entrance sliding doors were very noisy and constantly sliding open although no one tried to exit/enter because the lobby was small. Our interactions with the staff were only at check-in and check-out, and the engagement was purely transactional, nothing friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was big and cozy. The 2 hard pillows and 2 soft pillows were clearly labelled. The bathroom included soaps, shampoo and towels. It had a extractor fan that turned on/off with the light switch, so it could be a bit tricky if your partner is a light sleeper. The gym was clean and well kept, with a variety of cardio machines and dumb bells, plus towels and water station. The breakfast included egg sandwiches, oatmeal, bagels, sliced bread, jam, butter, apples, yogurts, milk, snack bars, muffins and cookies. There was hot tea (about 6 flavours) and coffee. The dining hall was comfortable and spacious. The major discomfort was the area OUTSIDE of the hotel, which I understand is not within their control. Dundas Street had lots of people who appeared to be either homeless or intoxicated, and unfortunately these people hung out right by the hotel entrance. There were 2 security officers there sometimes. We experienced no dangerous incidents but it was unnerving to walk a street with all-day all-night lurkers. Nonetheless, the hotel was conveniently located close to the train station and the concert venue.

Found cockroaches in our room. Felt unsafe going out for a smoke with the amount of crackheads sleeping outside. Would never stay here again, the staff were very nice just not a good place to stay.

The hotel was fine. We arrived late and there were lots of street people already under some influence. It’s London downtown. They minded their own business. We never slept there because they gave away our room due to overbooking. We received a refund from Expedia. We booked an other hotel. They attendant asked me if me and my male friend would be ok sleeping together on king bed. We are not a couple. They did not have an extra bed or pull out couch. We just booked an other hotel. This was a disaster. We just stayed calm and left.

Hotel lobby is a little dated but our room was very clean and comfortable. The area itself is definitely a little rough, especially at night and the parking garage smelled pretty bad. However, it was very well lit and we never had any issues. I’d recommend this hotel for a night or two, just be mindful of your surroundings.
