"This hotel is closed. I booked on Expedia. Went to the hotel on 14 July to check-in. The gates were locked. The rooms were padlocked & a woman yelled at me from a window "closed" I then had to find other accommodation carrying a backpack in terrible heat. After being turned away from 3 other hotels I finally found other accommodation. "Facilities in room is not quite clean e.g. I found that the shower head is not clean. Mattress for glasses in sink area is black either dirty or mold etc. Staff service is very good. They assisted with all questions for traveling in city. "

"We had a wonderful time at Hillside Lodge. It is in stunning countryside (note there is a slightly bumpy 20-30 minute drive from Luang Prabang but we found this to be an added part of the adventure) with a great pool to cool down in either after a days activity or to relax around all day. The team are amazing and weren’t super helpful in arranging transfers and activities.
