"I stayed at the Barthels for two nights, arriving after a very long drive and immediately being able to relax. It’s clean, modern, and comfortable and in an incredible location right in the heart of the old town of Würzburg - I could see the cathedral dome right outside my window! Despite that, it wasn’t noisy and I wasn’t ever woken up to the sound of church bells chiming or street noise. There’s no parking at the hotel but there are so many car parks nearby it wasn’t a problem, and I enjoyed...

"All in all it was ok. For the price I expected a little bit more . Was quite noisy and the bed had a huge dip in the middle. Probably time to change the mattresses. Breakfast was great and staff was friendly. Was the weekend so quite a few groups of questionable men loitering in front of the property. Parking was good. "

"Lovely team that work at the hotel and restaurant. Great location to quickly be in the middle of Würzburg and to walk over the Main River to the other side. I was just a little disappointed with the size of my room this time, especially since I was traveling with my dog. It was a little tough to maneuver in the room with two suitcases and a dog. My room in April 2024 was more comfortable. Nonetheless, we managed and enjoyed our stay."

"Great hotel in a great location. Unfortunately for us and no fault of the hotel, the road outside was closed to transport as they were digging it up with very loud machinery. This meant we couldn’t park at the hotel as previously booked and became quite stressful trying to find a public parking garage. The hotel’s location was perfect and everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. My only negative experience is the pillows, huge bags of air that no matter how many times you tried...

"A very nice hotel located only a few minutes walk from the center of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and definitely worth buying or adding on as an option when you book. Parking was easy and spacious. The hotel was very clean (apart from the shower head that had a lot of mineral build up which I cleaned off myself to improve the water pressure in the shower). Located right across the road from a school but we didn't experience any noise problems...

"Excellent hotel in a great location, easy to access the tram or better to walk along the path by the river into town. We didn't breakfast at the hotel it was a bit busy. But very good little bakery just down the lane in front of the hotel. Just be aware that the booking and assess the your room number and pin code is only available via the web page and then wasn't obvious to find, connection on 3g was very slow. It would be better if this info was in the email. "

"Everything is nice and convenient about babelfish hostel . Only bad thing was that i got a parking ticket after 2 minutes of stopping the car on the sidewalk in front of the hotel door while i was already inside to check in and my family was still in the car. It didn't matter when we explained the cop that we were going to move the car immediately and skip unloading for the time being. "

"A tall modern hotel near the train station - it is one stop more or less on a tram from the train station, and close enough to walk unless you have oppressive amounts of baggage. Nice breakfast, but not much in the way of dining around that I saw. There was a Lidl across the street where you can get inexpensive food to eat in your room. Downtown Wuerzburg is a few stops away on the tram to the Juliuspromenade stop. The 4 stop ticket for 1.50 euros will cover that. "
