I heard great things about MBK and had high expectations , but was sorely disappointed. A couple of the levels have been converted into market stalls - they sell similar tourist stuff as the markets but higher prices than Chatuchak. Food court is good, Michelin Star kiosk there that sells delicious noodles. We ate at the food court a couple of times and everything we tried was tasty and very reasonably priced (approx $2-3).
Great bargains to be picked up, good to barter with
Great shopping and fairly well laid out. Good bargains can be found if you are willing to haggle on prices. This is a large complex and we spent about 5 hours there, but felt like we could have spent 5 more and not seen it all.
Shopping and eating galore. And cheap too.
