The only downside to this hotel room was the complicated light switches and dimmers and no central ceiling light. It was all too dark.

Booked this hotel for a weekend HYROX event, convenient location to Manchester indoor arena & Manchester Train Station. Only thing I would have like to be better was the house keeping as I had to ask for fresh towels and the room to be cleaned.

The rooms are very well decorated, however the lighting is awful. Very dark in the bedroom and bathroom, not ideal for a woman trying to apply make up. Asked twice for someone to come and look at it, first time the guy switched the lights off and on and said it's fixed when there was no improvement. Also roof top bar was closed for a private function and no notice of this was given

Breakfast was poor. Bed, matress and pillows, very uncomfortable. Overall condition of the hotel was good though. On check in, I was offered a voucher to use at the bar in exchange for not taking up room service (as part of the hotel's eco-pledge), which I accepted. But the room was cleaned and towels changed anyway which deafeted the object.

Spend a bit more on light bulbs
A warm and friendly welcome at reception but spoiled by exceptionally loud music from the adjacent bar which was loud enough to put me off having a pre dinner drink there. Everything in the room was great, worked well and was clean but it was one of the darkest hotel rooms that I have ever been in. Who thought to put the lighting in the bathroom behind the person using the sink. It was like shaving in the dark!

Comfortable modern hotel with friendly staff
Great hotel. Slight problem with turning off my lights at night but they fixed in the next morning. All in all a comfortable place to stay and I shall be returning
