"Relaxing stay just out of town. Lovely birdlife and gatdens. The accomodation was of high standard and very clean and comfortable. Close to Matakana and the coast. Our host Kim was friendly and informative and available if help was needed. Overall a great experience"

"The listing is inaccurate there is no spa, the bbq was so rusty we could not use it. The pillows are so lumpy you could not sleep on them. Only two beds were made up for us despite there being 4 people. The listing didn’t say you share the location with the owner."

"Our family group of 4 adults were all disappointed with how grubby this property was. We don’t mind things which are a bit shabby (carpet, paintwork, furniture, curtains) but we really like things to be clean! Don’t even expect hospital standards but not ….dead bugs, spiders, dust, cobwebs…. Hair and mould in showers, basins, bathroom mirrors splashed with someone else’s toothpaste….YUK. Kitchen equipment greasy and grimy. Also the downstairs bedroom was very damp and unaired and we had to move...

"Loved the central location within easy walking distance to the estuary, walkway on the ridge with great views and handy to Wood St shops with groceries, coffee and a range of eateries. A basic kiwi bach but appreciated the full kitchen and good-sized frig/freezer for self catering and the comfortable beds."
