"Jeanette was a wonderful hostess. The apartment was extremely well- equipped ( with even a larger refrigerator) and well-laid out, with a wrap-around verandah with lovely views looking into town and out to sea. "

"A lovely Bach to hang out in as we attended a family wedding. An easy walk to the Mangawhai town and shops, and lovely board walk along the estuary. No view but peaceful, and a lovely neighbour who helped us out with a torch during a power cut and loaned us her ironing board."

"A gem of a find. The chalets are gorgeous. Beautifully appointed with lovely bathroom products, the towels are divine and the king sized bed was incredibly comfortable. The hosts are very warm and welcoming and the kitchen is sensational. We loved it here. You can either cook in the kitchen or a short walk to a vast array of foody options"

"From the moment you drive down the driveway you know you are in for the biggest treat. Beautifully crafted stand alone units with high end attention to detail will delight any visitor. It’s the wonderful hosts Graeme and Lisa that complete an all together wonderful stay. Ahuru Lodge has been created with every travellers detail in mind see the cinema….Our breakfast was excellent and so spoilt with Lisa’s coffee! The only negative is that we had to head back home. Can’t wait for the next visit. "
