"The room is totally updated and huge. We had to use an oscillating fan to sleep because these old, historic hotels don’t have the infrastructure for air handling and the duvet/no separate top sheet made it warm. Gorgeous room. "

"Very friendly welcome, excellent staff. Room was lovely with nice and comfortable big bed. Food was lovely. Pastries at breakfast were excellent. Only negative, the extremely fatty bacon at breakfast. "

"This is a really nice hotel - very well-laid out with good parking and access. Within the lobby area are various games and activities which help to occupy younger guests. The staff are very friendly and supportive and overall the atmosphere is great. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and very tidy. We had an issue with disturbance from another guest’s room which, once flagged, was fairly dealt with by the hotel team. We make periodic trips to Aberdeen and will continue to visit this hotel when doing so. "

"Enjoyed a fine meal in Chop restaurant and were served by a lovely Romanian girl. Can’t remember her name but she was excellent and deserves a mention in this review."
